		Prevalence Prevalence is a measure of the proportion of people in a population who have some attribute or disease at a given point in time or during some time period. Prevalence includes both new (incident) and existing cases of disease. Prevalence A measure of the proportion of people in a population who have some attribute or disease at a given point in time or during a specified time period.  Point prevalence is the number of cases at one point in time and period prevalenced is the number of cases over a specifed time period (includes both the new [incident] cases over the period and existing cases of disease at a point in time).
