Copyright & Permissions
NZGG encourages the free exchange and sharing of evidence and guidance that is based on the most reliable available evidence.
Much of the evidence-based guidance on this site is authored by the New Zealand Guidelines Group, but the copyright holder is the organisation that provided the funding.
You will see who the copyright holder is if you either:- click ‘read more’ when you first find the resource you are looking for from your search in the Guidance Library
- open the resource and look for its copyright statement.
Some of the older guidelines and resources authored by the New Zealand Guidelines Group also assert that the New Zealand Guidelines Group is the copyright holder. This is in fact incorrect. The copyright holder will be the funding government organisation, either the Ministry of Health or ACC.
For those publications on this website for which the New Zealand Guidelines Group does not hold copyright, please contact the relevant copyright holder for permission to reproduce the information. The Ministry of Health’s copyright statement can be found on its website: http://www.moh.govt.nz/copyright.
If you would like to request permission to reproduce, adapt or translate material for which the New Zealand Guidelines Group is the copyright holder, please email us; info@nzgg.org.nz, and title the email ‘Permissions Request’. Please provide the information listed below within your email:
- Title of our publication
- ISBN of our publication
- Reference of the material to be used (eg. chapter, page, table, appendix, form)
- Description of how you intend to use the material (eg. adapt it, reproduce it in its entirety, translate it)

- As much information about your publication as you can provide, eg. name of the publisher, type of publication, expected date of publication, language of publication, how the publication is funded, and who by and whether you expect to charge for your publication.
The New Zealand Guidelines Group will provide a response within 5 working days of receiving the request. This response will be by return email.
